New Years Resolutions - Foods

It's that time of the year again where we all eat way too much over christmas, gain a few pounds and then start off the new year by torturing our selfs by cutting our daily supply of carbs, sugar or fat out of our food intake. Wether your New Years resolution is to cut back on foods, excersize more or anything else to do with calories being consumes, ask your self, is it really worth it?

I've tortured my self before over food consumption after reading all of these articles and on people's blogs and social networking sights about how, when your belly rumbles, it's applauding you, and other excessive dieting mind games, but really it's just going to make you feel worse. It's unrealistic if you go from eating sweet things pretty much everyday of your life to cutting it out completely, because all that's going to happen is you will start craving it, and when you eventually give in you will feel like a failure and even worse than you did before!

If your planning on loosing weight this year here are a few helpful and realistic tips for you.

-Drink a glass of water 30 mins before a meal. It will fill you up a little more so you feel fuller quicker and you don't eat as much.

-Don't eat chocolate because it's being offered it you, or infront of you. If you feel like your dying for some chocolate have a few blocks, but it doesn't mean you need to eat the whole thing.

- If your at a shop and your going to get chocolate look at the calories. Two kitkat fingers has 106 calories, yet a yorkie has 367!

- No matter the weather outside, wrap up and go on a walk! You will feel better for it and you may just get rid of some of that kitkat!

I hope this has motivated you, and remember giving in to chocolate or fatty foods doesn't mean you've failed, you just need to know how to eat in moderation!

Top Winter Polishes of 2013

So it's that time of year again, where all of the beautiful deep and rich colours are socially acceptable to wear and make you feel that little bit more festive. I love having seasonal nail colours and here are some of my favourites for winter 2013.

Collection2000 - Parma Violets
I love this colour because the shade of purple it is reminds me of a velvet which is quite festive. It applys nicely and has a great natural shine. It's quick drying however it doesn't last for ages without a top coat.

Nails Inc - Denim
This gorgeous colour is so opaque and shiny and when applied it looks like an almost navy colour which I think is great for this time of year and goes with a lot of things. The brush on this polish so great and doesn't shed at all, and the consistancy of the polish is also very thick.

Gale Hayman - 14K Nail
This gorgeous polish is a festive favourite of mine, although you do need two or three coats to get a opaque finnish. Once applied though this 14karat gold nail polish looks stunning, and makes a great gift or to wow people at christmas parties.

Revlon Moon Candy - Moon Dust
I love the effect this polish gives. You first apply the black polish which is extremely opaque, you then apply the top coat of glitter which gives a holographic effect. You don't get that much product out of the bottles though which is a shame, however it's worth the money and the colour choices are great.

Barry M Jelly Hi Shine - Pomegranate
I love this polish all year round and christmas is no exception! I think the beautiful berry colour really works for this time of year and as you all probably know Barry M nail polishes are my favourite! I can't praise them enough. This polish is a safe but pretty colour which will suit every skin type.

Sinful Colors - Frenzy
This nail polish to me just looks like tinsel! I love the purple and pink combo and think it will look so pretty over the top of a black or silver colour at christmas time!

Rimmel London - Double Decker Red
I had to include a red polish, especially at this time of year! This has santa written all over it! It's a festive colour, the consistancy is great and it leaves a nice shine. Oh it's long lasting too!

Barry M - Silvery Lilac
I think this is such a good colour for a New Year's Eve party or something, where you don't want to wear a Christmassy polish but still something wintery and sparkley! It changes colours in different lights and has a really nice sparkle to it, the only down side it you may need to apply a few coats!

Collection2000 - Shimmy Shake
This is what christmas is about. Gold, Glitter and Sparkles! Perfect for parties or just to cheer you up on a winters day! I think this polish looks really pretty just on your ring finger over the top of a black or red polish. You get the best effect with a top coat with this polish.

NYC - Chelsea
I only got this the other day but I am In love! It's a beautiful wine colour and has a slight pearly finnish to it, I just think it's perfect for christmas, especially as I live in burgandy coloured clothing! I think this might be my all time favourite polish! It's so shiny and beautiful! Everyone should own it! And it's so cheap at £1.79!

Liebster Award Part 3!

I was nominated for another Liebster award by the lovley Rosie from EquallyInspired.blogspot.co.uk and she left me some questions to answer, so here I go!

1). Who are your inspirations?

People who inspire me have to be Tanya Burr, because she's got such an amazing talent in makeup and can make all skin types look flawless, Wayne from GossMakeupArtist because he is also extremely talented and such a positive person, and also Sam and Nic from Pixiwoo because they are also amazingly talented. These people all inspire me in makeup which is a big part of my life, but I do have other inspirations that arnt connected with the beauty world.

2). If you could live in any city which city would it be?

This would have to be London, I live just on the outskirts now, all I have to do is hop on a train which doesn't take long at all but I just love the atmosphere and the diversity of people there. And of course the shopping! I also love Brighton!

3). Top 5 favourite singers/bands (and post links?)

Ellie Goulding - http://youtu.be/an4ySOlsUMY

4). What are your views on bullying?

I hate it with a passion. Coming from somebody who has been bullied I wouldn't wish it upon anyone and I believe that the reason people bully is because they are unhappy with who they are as a person. I see no reasoning for it and the affect it can have on others is devastating. Many people have been bullied in there lives and if your a lucky person who hasn't then please just be looking out for your friends because they might need you, and be too scared to ask for help. Don't let anyone walk over you or take advantage. Your better than them.

5). Favorite beauty product?

I can't really say I have one specific favourite, as there are so many things I love, but what comes to mind is Mac Lipsticks, you can't beat them!

6). Is there anything you regret doing?

Yes and no. I have so many regrets in life that I wish I could change but then if I hadn't made them I wouldn't be the person I am now so in that sence then no.

7). Why did you decide to start blogging and why did you chose the name of your blog?

I started blogging when I was younger, maybe 10 or so, on a website creator called Piczo I think it was called. Oh dear, them were the days. Thankfully it no longer exists! And the reasoning behind the name EmmayBelle.... You will never know. mwahaha.

8). What is the best experience you have ever had?

I've got to say the video messages from Tanya burr and Louise from sprinkle of glitter kind of made my life but I'm not really sure what else, maybe our holidays to America and Spain have been pretty memorable. Like swimming with dolphins!

9). What is the worst experience you have ever had?

Definetly being in hospital! I hated it so much! When my doctor would come round I'd try and hold my breath so my heart rate would drop down low to what it should be to try and get home. My mum found out and told him. Boo.

10). Who or what couldn't you live without?

My mum and dad... And my dogs... I could live without my sister :') lol joke. Her too I guess.

11). Write a sentence or two about why you love your bestfriend!

I don't have one specific best friend so this is pretty hard to be honest lol.

Ok they were my questions answered now here are some for the people I list below to answer.

1 - One book that you could read over and over again?
2 - Your typical Nando's order?!
3 - Holy Grail beauty product?
4 - Worst life experience?
5 - Who is your fashion icon?
6 - Topshop or River Island?
7 - How many pairs of shoes do you own?
8 - Go to nail colour?
9 - An unusual fact about yourself?
10 - A fashion mistake you've made?
11 - Best christmas gift you've recieved?
