New Years Resolutions - Foods

It's that time of the year again where we all eat way too much over christmas, gain a few pounds and then start off the new year by torturing our selfs by cutting our daily supply of carbs, sugar or fat out of our food intake. Wether your New Years resolution is to cut back on foods, excersize more or anything else to do with calories being consumes, ask your self, is it really worth it?

I've tortured my self before over food consumption after reading all of these articles and on people's blogs and social networking sights about how, when your belly rumbles, it's applauding you, and other excessive dieting mind games, but really it's just going to make you feel worse. It's unrealistic if you go from eating sweet things pretty much everyday of your life to cutting it out completely, because all that's going to happen is you will start craving it, and when you eventually give in you will feel like a failure and even worse than you did before!

If your planning on loosing weight this year here are a few helpful and realistic tips for you.

-Drink a glass of water 30 mins before a meal. It will fill you up a little more so you feel fuller quicker and you don't eat as much.

-Don't eat chocolate because it's being offered it you, or infront of you. If you feel like your dying for some chocolate have a few blocks, but it doesn't mean you need to eat the whole thing.

- If your at a shop and your going to get chocolate look at the calories. Two kitkat fingers has 106 calories, yet a yorkie has 367!

- No matter the weather outside, wrap up and go on a walk! You will feel better for it and you may just get rid of some of that kitkat!

I hope this has motivated you, and remember giving in to chocolate or fatty foods doesn't mean you've failed, you just need to know how to eat in moderation!
